Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds “Ghosteen”
Out of nowhere it would seem Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds “Ghosteen” will be released next week, set to be a double album no-less.
There’s no word upon the official Nick Cave website, but by all accounts fans are in for a treat. After all, this is Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, a band known for consistently putting out strong releases.
The last 3 albums from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds in fact made the top 5 in their homeland of Australia. While here in the UK, they did exactly the same. Along with 2016’s Skeleton Tree accompanied by a string of accolades throughout the music press.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds “Ghosteen” – New Album 2019
While it’s yet to be seen whether or not the new double album is definitely a concept album, Nick Cave himself hints there’s certainly a fluency. “The songs on the first album are the children,” he says, whereas “The songs on the second album are their parents.”
The title of the new Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds “Ghosteen” album being called as such due to the songs following a “Migrating Spirit”. Personally, I always love a concept album and even if Nick Cave’s spoken word pieces can be hard going, I could listen to his voice all day long.
As to what to expect from “Ghosteen”, part 1 would imply more of a song-based album in it’s entirety. While part 2 features just 3 tracks, two of which set to be longer, more experimental numbers.
